Engager (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through Engager. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it and your choices.

Information and purpose

We process account/profile details, location selections, submitted content and messages, business and listing information, job enquiries, reports, account-security records, device/browser information and service activity. We use it to provide and secure the service, show relevant local content, deliver emails, prevent abuse, moderate reports, improve reliability and meet legal obligations.

Visibility and sharing

Your display name, posts, listings and business information may be visible to users or the public as indicated. Do not post private information in public fields. Hosting, email and technical providers may process information for us under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information when lawfully required or needed to protect people and the service.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes, disputes, safety and legal requirements. We use access controls, password hashing, verification and audit records, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request confirmation, access, correction or appropriate deletion; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where it is relied upon; or complain. Contact support@engager.co.za. You may also complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator.

Cookies, children and updates

Engager uses essential session cookies for login and security. The service is not intended for children who cannot lawfully consent without a guardian. We will announce material changes and request fresh acceptance where appropriate.
